Insurance

Orthotics are not currently covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), but they can be covered by private insurance companies such as Manulife, GreenShield, Sunlife,  Non-insurance health benefits (NIHB) etc. 

For coverage, you must have a written prescription from a medical doctor. It is best to contact your insurance company and ask what your annual coverage is for custom orthotics.
